Visiting any church, especially a larger one, for the very first time can be an awkward experience. What door do I go into? What time does it start? What is there for my kids? These and many more questions always surface. When you visit Hope Baptist Church, you will find a friendly welcome from down-to-earth Christians who have a love for the Lord and their church family. There will always be someone to assist you with any questions or concerns. Our hope is that you will experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching from the Word of God and a place where you can feel welcome. Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.
What is the Sunday morning schedule?
This is an adult Sunday school hour. It starts with one or two songs out of the hymn book, and then goes directly into the Bible lesson. Most often it is a verse by verse study through a book of the Bible or a two to three week topical study. This lasts until about 10:45.
The worship service starts with electrifying choir music and congregational singing for about a half hour. This is followed by the preaching which lasts 45-60 minutes. Most services end around 12:30-12:45 PM.
Is there a nursery?
Yes. Hope provides a nursery for infants and children up to age three. Our nursery is a safe, clean environment that is well staffed. There are windows to observe or check up on your children. Every parent is provided with a pager, should any child need additional attention.
Should I bring my Bible?
We encourage everyone to bring their Bibles and follow along with the Pastorís message. If you do not have a Bible, we will provide one on request.
Can I listen to services online?
Do you have more than one service?
We have a morning and evening service on Sundays. Our evening service starts at 6:00 PM on Sunday nights. Our Wednesday night services start at 7:00 PM.
