Public Ministry

         "No sort of defense is needed for preaching out of doors, but it would need very potent arguments to prove that a man has done his duty who has never preached beyond the walls of his meeting house. A defense is required for services within buildings than for worship outside of them."

        We agree with Mr. Spurgeon in the area of public ministry! The ministry in Acts 20: 20 was "publickly and house to house." The Apostle Paul was "in the market daily." Jesus' command to preach upon the housetops (Matt. 10: 27) was not a prophecy about TV antennaes receiving TBN or the 700 Club broadcasts. It was a plea for his people to minister to the multitudes of unchurched souls. who'll not step into a church building. We' ve had 25 years experience going "into the highways and hedges" and would enjoy getting churches started in public ministry.
